Product details

The 200 micron black/white occultation tarpaulin in a 50m roll is essential for effective weed control. In most cases, the soil is previously worked: aeration, creation of rows (in the case of row or bed crops), possible fertilization, but instead of sowing or transplanting directly, the soil is covered and protected by these opaque black/white polyethylene tarps until it is ready for production.

Thanks to optimal aeration, a good level of humidity and temperature, weed seeds germinate but cannot photosynthesize, leading them to deplete their energy and die. Once the tarp is removed, a light surface weeding is sufficient to control weeds for most of the season.

The double black/white coloration of the tarp allows for year-round use. In spring and autumn, the black side maintains an optimal temperature for biological processes and early sowings. In summer, the white side protects the soil from excessive radiation and overheating. These tarps are also useful for finishing a cover crop or green manure.

With a thickness of 200 µm, these polyethylene tarps stand out for their high mechanical resistance and UV stabilization. Available in rolls of 4x50 or 8x50 meters, they are ideal for sustainable and effective use in various climatic conditions.
